About _Christopher Cross
Christopher Cross virtually defined adult contemporary music in the 80's with a series of smoothly sophisticated ballads. His self-titled debut album featured lead single "Ride Like the Wind," and the megahit "Sailing" made Cross a superstar overnight. He scored a second #1, as well as an Academy Award, with "Arthur's Theme (Best That You Can Do)," which he co-wrote with Burt Bacharach, Carole Bayer Sager and Peter Allen for the film starring Dudley Moore. Most recently, his music has been heard in the movie Anchorman 2 starring Will Ferrell.
The Lancaster Festival Orchestra opens the show with "Classical Sailing". Hop aboard for Handel's Water Music, Sousa's Hands Across The Sea and Richard Rodgers' Victory at Sea. All leading up to one of classical music's top 10 hits of all time, The Moldau. It's sure to make a splash!
