Ansen has a love-hate relationship with his Chinese heritage, not to mention his eccentric and demanding father. When his best friend Loni Jones talks him into entering the top lion dance competition, the secrets of kung fu, lion dancing, dodge ball and malasada consumption explode in a hilarious romp of a play exploring friendship, bullying and the courage it takes to be oneself.

May Day is Lei Day is an interactive celebration of one of Hawaii's most wonderfully popular traditions. Our production focuses on many native Hawaiian practices and how they relate to today's version of May Day celebrations. Filled with song, dance, story and participation, this show is sure to educate and entertain both the Lei Day novice and participant alike.
